Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

I always love to find a new trail.  We did Hugh's Canyon to the waterfall. Nice short hike. I actually ran 2 miles before we hiked, to give me 5 miles.

oohhh, a waterfall and a nice short hike?!? I think I may need to know where this one is for a family outing!

Nice work Leslie, you truly are the trail queen!

Rachel, it was an okay hike, all hikes are good, I like to know where everything is and how they all connect. This one was rather steep and some scrambling, it might not be good for the little ones. My friend did it in the spring and said the waterfall was really beautiful, it was quite wimpy this late in the summer. I hear Stewart Falls in American Fork Canyon is a nice easy waterfall hike. I hope to try it out and I will let you know.

Let me know when you do Stewart Falls, I may join you. I've hiked that a few years back...very nice hike!

EXCELLENT run/hike on new trail! :)
