Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn,but I am enjoying the journey.

I forgot how nice it is to get up before the sun to run and watch the sun come up!  I did the same run I did yesterday to the mouth of BCC and back and then took Odee for a 2 loops around the pond. 

The weightloss is going well!

Day # 3    down 4.1 pounds and have 5.9 to go!  This is the weight I usually get to and then bounce right back up, so anything from this point on is really worth celebrating.

Breakfast- 2 healthy cookies ( 79 calories each)

snack- cottage cheese and pretzels

lunch- green smoothie

Rad, I will be there, do you want to meet at the Draper Park parking lot? We can start out together and then you can scoot ahead, I will not be able to keep up with you, but it will be fun to start the morning together. Maybe Harold will come and roller blade or bike. Is anyone else coming?

Sorry I didn't get up this morning. My body is still in recovery mode. On the bright side - my ankle had been hurting for 2 days and wasn't when I got up.
