Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn,but I am enjoying the journey.

WONDERFUL RUN!  Laurie, Chris, Gary and Chris's brother in law did the Crest this morning.  Cool mountain breeze, awesome wildflowers and great company. A perfect morning.

kelli, it was! Hey the Goblin Valley campground is full. I just called and they said there is free camping at Temple Mountain about 7 miles from the park. What are you doing? Did Smooth ever sign up?

I just signed up! the campground is FULL? I was going to reserve a spot. we don't have any RV. I booked a room at Holiday Espress in Green River. it is $100 a night and an hour away! Are you guys camping at Temple Mountain then? I want to camp. I don't mind sleeping in tent. Please let me know what you girls plan.

Smooth! I am so happy you signed up!!! I will talk to Harold tonight and let you know what he says. The man said there are bathrooms at Temple Mountain,probably outhouses, not sure, but he said it is free.

WHAT??????? I thought they said we could not even reserve a spot until September. Dang it. I wonder if the FREE camping will be a ZOO. How will we know if there is going to be enough room?

Gary, you are too cute, I always love running with you ( or behind you) you know me I am easy, I should have told you not to worry, I also had Jana as a back up, I was not worried at all!

Kelli, I know that is so dumb! Laurie Pope is going to reserve a RV place, and pitch a tent in Green River, they have showers and bathrooms. I will check with her and find out which one it is. Smooth said rooms are $100 a night, no way for us. I will find out the name of the place and let you and Smooth know incase you are interested.

PLEASE DO!!! My BIL was going to maybe come up with his 5th wheel so I could stay in that, but that will not work if there is no where to stay!

Kelli and Smooth, we upgraded to a cabin so we won't have to tear down a tent on race day! That is quite the bargain price I think.
