Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

I did 15 miles at the Oval with Gary today, I told myself I am backing off a little this week, so I guess I will be fine with that, my plan was to do 20, but I am listening to my tired body that said, "take it easy old girl!" so I did.  I hope I will be ready for my 50K next month, I don't think I will be as ready as I was 2 years ago.

take it easy wouldn't be the words in my head if I was doing 15! They would be "STOP!" :)

You're doing great, I'm sure your consistency and relentless drive will pull you through the 50K. Keep up your hard work!

Thanks Rachel! I am really going to work hard these next few weeks! I really want to have a nice race season, and my 50K will be my first race of the year and if that goes well I will be so happy.

How are you feeling anyway? When is the baby due? I have not kept in touch very well.

Lori, Hi!!!!! I wish I could do Goblin Valley with you, it is such a great race, but I am doing the Pony Express 50 miler that is about at the same time. Does that sound at all interesting? It was the most fun I have ever had at a race! I hope you are going to blog regularly, I always love hearing from you!
