Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

I ran out at the Oval by myself this morning.  Ernie and Gary went out of town.  It was alittle lonesome, but I had a new book on tape to listen to and it was really good, The Associate by John Grisham. 17 miles went by pretty well, the last mile was not fun at all.  I am not quite sure how many miles I should work up to for my 50K in April.  Maybe 25 miles?  I guess that sounds like a good number.  I am not one to be very specific in my training.  If I take this stuff seriously it wouldn't be as much fun!

I need to learn to add, I did 19 miles not 18!!!!!!  Last week I did 18 not 17!  Good news for me.

WOW, that's alot of miles on the Oval. Glad you had Grisham's book to keep you company. Hey, if it's not fun, what's the point in doing it? Your plan sounds good to me!!! Keep it up! Hope you're resting well now!

Smooth, in my dreams I want to be like you, but in reality I am way too lazy! I am enjoying this and I guess that is all that matters. Have a good day my cute friend!!!!

Wow! Nice miles today Leslie. I want to be like Smooth too, although I am not sure about the Mo-tab while running :) One of these Wednesdays I'll make it out there. :) You are really on your game.

Scott, your remarks always bring a smile! I bet you secretly listen the Mo-tab while climbing your peaks!

One day I will see you at the Oval. Next week I will be there for 4hours and 15 minutes, crazy, but fun. Grisham did a good job entertaining me today.

Geez Sister Peterson! That's a lot of running!
