Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Did the Crest trail again with Ernie and Gary and Harold. No snow on the trails.  The temp was 36 degrees at the start and it was cool thru the whole run. NICE!

36????? That is winter weather! I need to get me some of that. I need to run on trails, I have NEVER done it. However, I ordered my trail shoes. They should arrive today. Then I need to get busy!

I am dragging my feet on it because there are so many people. I hate crowded races!!!

But, in better news, the check is in the mail for Goblin Valley!

I did DN once, and didn't like running thru the parade route, but you are fast, so it wouldn't be embaressing.

I still need to sign up for GV, who else is doing it that you know?

Leslie- I LOVE the Crest and will be doing it tomorrow. Good to hear the snow is gone. I thought it would be. Kelli- Come try out the new shoes.

They would get dirty!!!!!

Seriously, though, you guys need to take me on a run! Tomorrow I am running in the avenues (and dreading it). Let's plan something for next week some time. If I do not start running on trails I will bomb Goblin Valley! And I want to be fast!!!!!

From leslie peterson on Wed, Jul 07, 2010 at 13:56:38 from 174.52.158.81

Scott, lucky you!!! I am hiking, but not sure where yet.

Kelli, I could take you with me on the Crest, but you would do better with someone fast to show you the way, you would have to wait for me at every trail fork and go crazy. Maybe you could run back and forth and get in double the miles. The Crest is 12 miles long. I would love to be the one to introduce you to that trail. It is amazing.

I can run any pace AND I love running back and forth! Let's do it!

From leslie peterson on Wed, Jul 07, 2010 at 23:45:08 from 174.52.158.81

Okay, I will let you know when I do it again! That would be fun!

Can you mail order me some 36 degree weather? New England is baking like a pressure cooker!
