Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Here are some pictures of me being a tough robust woman picking up my man.

And than I threw him on the ground.  Don't mess with me!

Our weekend in Torrey started out to be so much fun, we played games, hiked, and enjoyed each others company, but it ended very quickly when Paul had a siezure in the car after a little hiking trip.  He ended up having 5 seizures and taking an ambulance ride back to SLC last night. This morning he had another brain surgery and seems to be doing well. It was very frightening.  Hug your loved ones and be grateful for good health.

This is a picture of Julie and Paul about 45 minutes before he has his seizure.  You would never know that so much  trouble was brewing

Glad you had some good times before the health problems with Paul hit!

Thanks Maurine, it was absolutely perfect up until the seizure and then it was a nightmare.

Our posting of pictures is pretty pathetic, do you love the headless version of me???

Sorry to hear about the troubles...

You've got a knack for wrassling!

Wow, you are one tough woman both physically and emotionally! I am so sorry to hear about Paul and I hope that he heals well from this most recent surgery. Man, life can be so rough sometimes and we (meaning me) really just need to keep things in perspective and be so thankful for what we have. Thanks for the reminder.

Lots of love and prayers sent your way!

Thanks all! I am just heading off to the hospital to see Paul, he just got out of ICU and is recovering in a regular hospital room.

Leslie, I ditto what Kelli said. I hope Paul is recovering well from brain surgery.
