Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Today is a Snowbird day, so I have to call every hour and see if I get an appt. I doubt I will go up, but just in case I do, I can't schedule appts. at home ( oh, poor me, bless my heart!) So I lounged around until 8:30 before I got my lazy butt out for a run.  I picked up the pace from yesterdays zombie run a bit.

3 miles  Total time  34:01  Avg. pace 11:21   mile 1- 10:51  mile 2- 11:24  mile 3- 11:45

Now I am going to do weights and then head over to the spa and 30 min. on the eleptical (unless I have to go to Snowbird)

You have to check out Marions blog she has a great video!!!!

Zombie run made me laugh :) When I used to go to the gym at 4:45am with my friend Nicole, some days one of us would just be dragging. Instead of a hard workout on the elliptical, we'd just "go for a mosey" on the treadmill.

Great run! Have fun lolly gagging around today ;)

From leslie on Tue, Nov 25, 2008 at 12:43:23

RAchel, I have a lot of mosey days! At least on those days, we keep going, it is so easy to get out of the habit of exersizing, so I think we get points for just showing up!!

From kungfublonde on Tue, Nov 25, 2008 at 12:45:47

And you know you burn double calories if you mosey before the sun is up?

From leslie on Tue, Nov 25, 2008 at 12:51:15

ahhh haaa! That explains the 4:45am workout! cool ;)

From montelepsy on Tue, Nov 25, 2008 at 12:59:30

There is no explanation for anytime that starts with a 4 and ends with an "a.m."

From leslie on Tue, Nov 25, 2008 at 13:01:56

Are you Crazy??? A Double calorie burn??? I can tell you are a guy!!:)

From Kelli on Tue, Nov 25, 2008 at 18:40:03

GREAT JOB!!!!! I hope you are enjoying LIFE. I have eaten 4 sugar cookies and half of a caramel apple today. So, I am obviously enjoying life!!!

From leslie on Tue, Nov 25, 2008 at 19:13:22

Kelli, I don't understand why you would only eat half of a perfectly good carmel apple! What is wrong with you girl???

I am actually being a Nazi on the nutrition today, I am gearing up for a total pig out on Thur. I need to save lots of room in MY BELLY ( like Austin Powers)

From Kelli on Wed, Nov 26, 2008 at 13:18:04

I ONLY ate half becasue I shared it with my daughter! And, to finish the day off, just so you know, I had 3 pieces of pizza!! I gained 3 pounds yesterday. Dang it, but today will be better maybe.

Kelli, you always make me smile! You enjoy the holidays!

I am going to Chick Fil A with my sister for lunch. They have this new shake---it is candy cane pieces with chocolate. It is to die for good and it only comes in one size---HUGE!!! Last time I shared it with my husband and 3 year old, this time it is just me and the 3 year old. I hope she can hold her own, cause I so do not need the calories!!!

I seem to have forgotten that the day of gluttony is tomorrow. I chose a week of gluttony (on top of feeling sorry for my pathetic running attempts). DA!!

Hey, last night we had a Stake YM/YW thing and I saw this lady that I have not seen since girls camp this summer. She had just joined WW in July and she has lost almost 70 pounds. She noe weighs less than me, wants to lose 10 more pounds, and looks great!! Why do I suck at WW so much? She has such determination. She was scooping up the chocolate cake after and said she was not even tempted by it, she has not had a taste of chocolate in 4 months. But, that is not fun! I could never be that way, but she has to be one of the biggest success stories in WW history. She needs to be on a poster or something!

That is an impressive story, I do not have that kind of will power, I am like you that sounds too strict to me, but more power to her! It is inspiring and I admire people like her, wish I had a little more of that in me. I just went and had a eggnog frozen yogurt at Mavrick, that is my treat for the day, I plan on enjoying tomorrow!!!

The shake sounds mighty good! Oh, does that gal exersize? I have a gal in my ward who has lost 30 pounds and is super skinny and does not exersize and eats like a bird, to me it is very unattractive, she looks sickly.

This woman (I think she is 45 or so) has actually been a runner for a long time. She runs slow and steady, but I bet she will be getting faster soon! She has done a half marathon (before the weight loss last spring sometime) and loved it. So, she is contemplating a full marathon for 2009! Yeah for her. I think she runs 5 miles a day 4-5 times a week and then she walks her dog (tiniest little dog) for 45 minutes every day. She is amazing!

I really could never be that strict, that is why I like WW. You can still enjoy food!!! I am going to go to dinner with her next week and get all of the scoop on what she does! I already know it will not work for me (no willpower to avoid chocolate like the plague), but maybe she can inspire me some! I will fill you in!
