Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Did  a slow 4 mile run this morning along Danish Road.  It was 27 degrees this morning and I was surprised that it felt just fine.

I am not posting my weight on a daily basis,  it is making me crazy!  If I can maintain my present weight thru the holidays I will be  a happy girl! Here's to a great holiday season!!!!

Seriously, we think so alike. This weekend i had an epiphany---I have managed to maintain this weight for almost two months, longer than ever before this low. AND, i have done it through some serious eating binges, so life is good! I can not and will not miss out on the holiday treats, it is not in my nature. So, mantain is my goal until January. THEN, I will focus on those last 5-8 pounds!!!

Great run today. I am so jealous. I was on the bike at the gym today and I refused to look at all of my friends running and chatting away on the treadmills. I miss it and I miss them!

I am glad you feel the same way! Happy Holidays to us!!!

Dang, I am so sorry about your knee, I am glad you are behaving yourself and not over doing!!! Good little Kelli girl!!! We need you healthy fast, so we can run in Lehi all winter long. Take care and I am crossing my fingers for you!!! Everyone is giving great advice, I don't have any experience with knees, so I am just wishing you well!!

THANKS. Hoping for the best, expecting the worst! Kind of how I live (pessimistic husband taught me that).

Good job in getting her done. I am glad to hear you and Kelli are not beating yourselves over this weight loss thing. Life is good if you can eat and exercise and enjoy the holidays with families. BTW, I noticed Karen Boothe ran the Valley of Fire Marathon on Sat. I would have loved to see her again.

If you see Karen tell her "hi" I have not been so great at staying in touch. Maybe I will call her, I should tell her to get on the blog. Have you done the Valley of Fire? What is your favorite Marathon? I would like to try a new one next year. So far, I think I like Ogden and St. George the best.

Kelli, Scott is too cute to be pessimistic! You really do read fast! I need to start the 4th Twilight book, but it is over 700 pages, I love to read, but it puts me to sleep, I think it is old age!
