Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

I did my Holladay run this morning. I dressed really light, one long sleeve shirt and a vest, no gloves and no hat.  Maurine, you would be so proud of me. It was cold but do-able.  It was my fastest run this week.  33:05

Good job, Les. See - you can live without 500 layers!

From Kelli on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 11:05:35

Great run this morning and goos speed!! Layering is okay, as long as you can delayer, right? I have not even been outside yet to feel the air.

We are soul sisters, just so you know. This morning, I am 8 to goal. Whatever. I am not going to weigh myself again until next Thursday. I do not want to know and I want to enjoy my weekend! I have got to get my eating under control, but I know that will not happen on a weekend, so here is to next week!!! Hmmm, have I said that before?

We are running in Lehi again tomorrow if you guys want to come!

Hey sister! YOu have yourself a GREAT weekend! Looks like we are sticking with each other on this weight loss. Thanks for the invite, I will check with Maurine, we were going to run the Pipeline tomorrow, so I will get back with you. What time are you running and how many miles?

Nice run honey!!! You are one speedy chicka! You know- we only have to kill ourselves one day a week- actually every other week according to Sasha! The rest of our runs can be leisurely and SLOW!!! :D

From Leslie on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 15:52:45

I am glad Sasha said that, slow is my friend! I have actually enjoyed these 3 mile little pushes. I may try to up it next week.

thanks Kelli, I still haven't figured out what our Sat. plans are.

From Smooth on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 23:36:36

Leslie, CONGRATS on pushing and churning out those fast miles. WooHoo!!! What a great feeling to be able to do that. I ran much slower today...I had cement legs and hurt all over. But I'm sure I'll be good to go when I get back to Utah.
