Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

I took a nice easy run this morning.  Great weather.  I am really getting excited about St. George.  Fun, family, friends, and I love Snow Canyon. It is always a good time.

I dropped 1.6 pounds!!!!  I am 2 1/2 pounds away from my TOU weight!

Is anyone out there looking forward to the debate tomorrow?  It is probably not a good idea to talk politics, I seem to get myself in trouble when ever I voice my opinion, so I will shut up right now.

Have a great day!!!

Ah, you are doing great! Good job on the weight loss, that is awesome!

I hate the debates, honestly. I am a good citizen-I stay informed and I vote, but I just get sick and tired of the BS! While I was on the treadmill this morning I was watching a candidate (I will not say which one) and all of his promises. I commented to my friend that it sounded like an elementary school campaign---I will get us a pop machine and a day off of school! Whatever, just a bunch of empty promises with no clue how to enact them. The presidential campaign is a thorn in my side right now.

Okay, enough politics for me for today! You have a great day!!

Thanks! I am trying to be really good today and tomorrow, so I can enjoy the weekend!!! Whats a marathon if we can enjoy a fabulous meal afterwards?! And the Blue Bunny ice cream at the finish line!!!!!

I am finding this political stuff very entertaining right now but you are right, most of it is BS!!! I can't get enough of Tina Fey!! I should take this more seriously, I am a bad girl......BUT IT IS SOOO FUNNY!!!

The funny thing about Sarah Pallin, is the whole time I was watching here I kept thinking she loks just like Tina Fey and I couldn't wait for SNL :)

YEAH!!! for the 1.6!! I dropped 4 this morning. I almost fell off of the scale :) Three more then I am back where I was before I started all of this nut-so excercise!

From leslie on Wed, Oct 01, 2008 at 16:25:01

Okay what exactly did you do yesterday? I am all ears!! That is soooo AWESOME!! I need a day like that!

From marion on Wed, Oct 01, 2008 at 16:29:19

No clue! LOTS of peaches :) MIllions of peaches, peaches for me! MIllions of peaches, peaches for free! I stuck to my points! Who knows! :)

I am so impressed! YOu are on a roll!

I am stuck in a rut myself, but at least I am not gaining. I have enjoyed 3 perfect days of eating, and I am even on track today---pumpkin ice cream cone included! But 4 pounds---WOW!!! I only managed that on my first week of WW!

They day they introduced Palin as the running mate, I thought immediately of Tina Fey as well! That is so funny, but she looks so much like her and she does a great job of being her on SNL!

I take it too seriously, that is my problem. All of the BS they are promising is making me mad because they have to know they can not deliver---they just say what they think we want to hear. I keep telling myself it doesn't really matter who I vote for President---they do not have as much power as they think! Congress and the Senate---there is the real power and where the votes matter!!!

I need to check out that store in Park City---I could use a shirt with some pockets!

Wish we could have gone running with you. the political scene is a nightmare and i avoid most of it. I agree with Kelli - it's all empty promises and I think they are all liars. I just can't wait until it's over.

Kelli I had pumpkin frozen yogurt today! Yum!

Lisa, when I get back from St. George we need to run together. I am going to go out and do 2 miles tomorrow if you are interested. Call me if you are.
