Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

An easy short run to Willowcreek with the chicks.  Jenny's mom drove us home.  Tomorrow we are going for a walk and then take a break Friday. Sat. is TOU!

My heels are feeling pretty good.  Could it be the Birkies???

On a side note, Paul had a siezure last night had to go to the hospital. Apparently this is normal for a stroke victim, but it sure was hard to take another set back.

I'm so sorry to hear about the set back! What an emotional roller coaster your family is on. Good luck in your marathon on Saturday! RUN FOR PAUL!

CRAP about Paul! :( I am SO sorry!

Yes, the Birks are MAGIC!!! Where did you end up finding them? How much? (I hope you don't mind me asking. I want to get another pair :)

You are going to have SO much fun on Saturday :D

Marion, I got them at Famous Footwear, they were $62, they only had 2 styles, come winter, I may order another style, maybe online, now that I know my size. Thanks for the tip!

I will enjoy TOU, but have no plans to work on a PR, with all I have been thru with the PF and Paul these last 2 months, training was put on the back burner. I am just going to enjoy the day and take it easy, I will have this be one of my social runs and chit chat with the back of the packers, they are always so friendly and fun!! There are many ways to enjoy a marathon! It is always a good time!

You are wise and wonderful! TOU will be super fun for you!

That price is GREAT for birks, but for the huge assortment, you do need to go online. I think I am goig to get some "Arizona" for my next pair. I can wear socks with them :D I need socks. I'm freezing!

OH MY GOSH! A spider tried to KILL me last night! I was just about to get into bed and this HUGE spider darted under my covers. I screamed and woke the dead (David). We tore apart the bed. It all made David really mad. He thought I just "thought" I saw a killer spider... but I finally spied it just at the top of the dust ruffle and screamed again, which really bugged DAvid. "It's just a spider" HA, just a spider, it was on MY side of the bed. He says he loves me, but I wonder ;) The stinkin' spider was the size of a silver dollar, not the new quarter size ones- the regular old kind!

I am glad you lived to tell the story, Dang that David! You could have been killed!! And I thought he was the perfect husband.... ahhhah! This is no such thing!

I will have to check out the Arizona's and get a new pair of Smart Wool socks and get ready for the freeze! I love my birkies more every hour they are on.

I just found another one on my ceiling. I screamed all three times I tried to kill it. It is still alive under my bed. I killed one this morning in the family room. Our carpet is a sage-ie shag and is the SAME DARN COLOR AS THE SPIDERS!!!! I hate it whent he weather turns cold and all the creatures try to come in so they can reproduce and live to kill me next year! AAAAAAHHHHHHHhhhhhhh!!!
