Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Had a great workout at Bootcamp.  I decided to try running on the road after class, I haven't run in several weeks, I have been hiking only while doing bootcamp.  I went out for 3 miles, ran 2 miles and walked one mile.  My motivation to run wasn't there.  Hummmmm...... oh well, I am getting in alot of crosstraining and enjoying it, so I guess it is all good.  I am concerned about Park City, I will definitely have to start early and do alot of walking.

In my opinion - if you are getting stronger and healthier and enjoying yourself, then you are doing the right thing.

Thats what I think too! I needed to change things up, this is working for now. I just feel like I am going to totally bomb in PC and SGM, but oh, well.

I concur with Marion. It's all about healthy living. PC has quite a bit of rail trail in the first half, your legs/feet might like that better. The nice thing about the PC course is Harold can cheer you along the way. NICE miles this week!

Smooth - last time Leslie ran the Park City Marathon, Harold biked next to her for the first 23 miles or so. She had her very own sherpa.

NICE! I want my very own sherpa!
