Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

This morning I met Colleen and Ardath at 6:45 at my house and we headed up to Millcreek for a hike.  We put in at the Church Fork trail head and did a 3 mile hike along the Pipeline.  We had a nice time visiting, but it wasn't long enough, I had to be back for a 9:00a appt.  I am running out to the airport this afternoon to pick up Kim S. who has been in Hawaii, and then I think I will do the Cottonwood trail to get in afew more miles, I have had a very low mile week, no complaints it has been a fun week!!

Maurine if you brought your running clothes to work, want to join me around 3:00ish again?

YAHOO!  I got my Cottonwood trail in as planned!  95 degrees at about 3:00, I know this is a little crazy, but I wanted to get some more miles in for the week.  Today, I went all the way to the top , Maurine and I got alittle lost last time, but now I have it figured out.  The total miles, round trip is 6.56, and I dd it in 1:40 which is an average pace of 15:22, not super speedy, but a real good work out.  Maurine and I will do it tomorrow and see if we can take a minute or so off.

3ish in the afternoon?!?!? Are you a glutton for punishment? ;) PLease tell me you are going somewhere there is still snow.

You know- low mile weeks are good for us :)

The hike sounds so fun! I am going to diversify and do some hiking and biking.

Yes, hiking is wonderful and I have so many friends that don't share my obession with running, so it is nice to hike with all my "normal" friends. Hey since you already are a swimmer, you should be doing a tri too!!! Diversify!

Nice to see you have 4 days this week. You are doing a great job, and running two times a day. You are a crazy lady:)
