Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

The heels are sure acting up, but I am not going to stop running, I think I need to go get the plantar brace thing from Wasatch Running, my friend Ardath said it is helping her. I figure 4 miles a day can't hurt my feet, so I am not quitting. I have stopped taking Vit. I, I am trying to save that for long runs and races, my hubby is afraid it will ruin my stomach.   I will figure this out yet.

I need to send my garmin in, I am not sure of my time this morning, forgot to look at the clock before I ran out the door.

My nutrition was good except for the pink cookie Jen brought me and my Cafe Rio Salad...okay, I guess my nutrition was pretty lame.... but I got away without gaining, today I will Nazi about my nutrition!

9.1 away from my goal  ( .1 down from yesterday)  Whew!  That was close!!

Good for you for dragging yourself out the door. Way to be consistent!

Great job getting out there even with your heel pain. You are amazing.

AMAZING Lesie. You are getting to that goal of yours!

As for the heels and Vit I- it is an anti inflamitory that has a cumulative effect. In order for it to give the full affect, you need to take it consistently. You need the anti-inflamitory benefit for the PF to heal.

I sure I hope I spelled all that right :)

I wondered about that, okay, I am going back to the Vit I, it does feel soooo good!

From Kelli on Thu, Oct 09, 2008 at 13:41:22

Oh, I hope you are feeling better soon, but way to stick it out. I would have quit, I am quite WIMPY!

This nutrition this is for the birds!! Hate it. I had pizza for dinner and a sugar cookie from Kneaders. I just can not stay away from that stuff. And a Cafe Rio salad sounds good, too! I am glad you are down .1. You must have a better scale than WW---they only register .2!!

Keep on keepin' on! You will get there.
