Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

It is snowing hard!  I went to muscle -up, I am not sure if I will get my run in today or not. I think my foot will enjoy a vacation today.

Always a good idea to be cautious! I was running in the snow and hit an ice patch and went NO WHERE! I thought of you. I didn't fall :D The next time the roads are like this I am going to try to screw shoes!

Hey Marion, you got your run in!!! Good girl! I decided to go shopping, the stores are pretty empty with the storm. I am taking a jolley holiday! Costco here I come!

From Smooth on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 15:41:08

Have fun shopping. That's a workout in itself.

From marion on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 15:55:26

you are smart! I HATE shopping! I am a crowd freak. If there is a crowd, I don't go! Have fun shopping! I need salami's for the stockings and then I am DONE! We went last night and finished up. I think I will wrap tomorrow night and be DONE!

CRAP!!! I don't have anything for my parents. It is SO hard to shop for them. They have EVERYTHING and if they don't have it, they buy it. CRUD!!!

Parents are the hardest. Last year me and all my kids gave them a coupon for a day of service on their property down in Torrey. We were all ready to go down with shovels and hoes and work our fannies off and then Paul had his stroke, so we are going to try and do it this year. So there is my 2 cents worth, some kind of a service project. Good luck!

The snow scared everyone away, the stores weren't too bad today. I am just giving my kids stockings this year, because we are all helping Julie and Paul, but my stockings are going to be KILLER!!!

ARe you doing the Sat. Run? I hope so, oh, I just bought a Black Diamond jacket at Costco for $26!!!

I am so happy that your foot is on vacation! Take good care of it. But, is shopping really a vacation for the feet????
