Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

I retired from Snowbird today, I have been a massage therapist at the Cliff Spa for over 15 years and today I finished my last winter season and will not go back up next year! Woo Hoo! Now I can run whenever I want and be a princess and play all day!!! ( I wish)

I celebrated by doing a route I have thought about doing for years, and it was fabulous, it will be a regular now. I run up to the Road Condition sign at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon and then turn right and go down to Wasatch Blvd., past LaCai and down Danish Road and home. It is about 5 miles up hill and then a nice 5 miles down. It couldn't have been a more beautiful day!!!

I am going to sing you a song, "Have I told you lately, that I love you?"

You are the dearest sweetest friend that I have! Hearing from you everyday just makes me SO happy!

Congratulations on your EARLY retirement :) Whoo hoo Princess Leslie!

I do love running alone. I am just a bit skittish on running these new long distances. I am afraid of freaking myself out and not finishing. I am SO paranoid about not being able to do it :( Wimpy wimpy!!!

From leslie on Wed, Apr 22, 2009 at 13:22:32 from 76.23.61.78

yeah, I hear you, I had a Cliff pacer at St. George call those miles "mystery miles", it is nice to have someone to keep you going. You did 17 Sat. so it is only one measley mystery mile, you can do it!!!!!!

From britta on Wed, Apr 22, 2009 at 15:28:31 from 66.74.232.169

Do I have a tiara? I only have 3!

That has got to be an amazing course!! Especially on a nice day like today. If you ever feel lonely and want to go back to work...let me know and I'll let you give me a massage for FREE so that you can get those good work feelings back again :)

Leslie - congratulations on your early retirement from Snowbird. Did Harold agree to stay married? Congratulations on also learning how to spell your name right.

Does this mean I get more calls telling me how pretty it is outside while I am slaving away at work? Looks like I will be working again all weekend - but I am going to take off for the long run on Saturday and church on Sunday this time.

From leslie on Wed, Apr 22, 2009 at 21:19:03 from 76.23.61.78

I will try to not rub it in too much!!

Glad you will still run Sat.!!

You are too kind to us poor working stiffs.
