Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

I had the most brutal lower body work out at bootcamp, and then hiked Gobblers Knob with Kim.  It was a hard climb, but so worth it.  We did the round trip in 5 hours. We could see from the peak, SLC, Brighton and Park City, it was like being on top of the world.  That was our grand finale for our summer hiking, Kim is a teacher and goes back to school next week.  We have been doing this for 10 years now, a wonderful summer tradition.

Nice job with Gobblers Leslie! That is really cool.

Scott, it was great, we had heard the trail was confusing and have been alittle intimidated by it, so we were pleasantly surprised to see it was so do-able. We told each other we need to do that trail at least once every summmer! Thanks for the tip!!!! It was our favorite of the year!

That's great. I have plenty more hikes just like that if you ever need any suggestions :) Raymond is fun too, but there is some scrambling at the top. You're right, the view on top of Gobblers is fantastic. Happy it worked out for you.
