Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn,but I am enjoying the journey.

thanks girls, we found out the surgeon did look at his CT scan and there was no damage to his brain from the seizure. They are giving him 2 seizure medications now, so hopefully we won't have another one soon.

How old is Paul?

From leslie on Tue, Dec 02, 2008 at 16:27:21

Hi Burt, Paul is 32, he had a rugby accident which caused a stroke back in July, we keep having set backs, but he is fighter and will get thru this! Thanks for asking.

From Smooth on Tue, Dec 02, 2008 at 23:12:38

Leslie, I can't imagine how difficult and scary it is for you. Paul sounds like a strong young man, and healthy until the rugby accident. He will pull thru, I'm sure. My prayers are with Paul and your family. Keep us posted and take care of yourself. {{{ hugs }}}

Thanks! He is an amazing person, my daughter is taking care of him like a trooper, he just has to pull out of this. HE WILL!

From Smooth on Wed, Dec 03, 2008 at 10:37:43

Give my love and hugs to your daughter. She's just like you..a trooper taking care of the beloved. Y'all take care of yourselves. I'm going for a run for Paul and you and yours right now. Aloha!
