Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Total Distance
13.50

Ran the Olympic Oval with Maurine and Gary, it was great!  It beat the outdoors all to heck today.  The plan was 15, but in my heart I knew if I did 13 I would be happy, so at 13.50 I finished.  We went to IHOP and had fun talking about all our running plans for 2009.

Harold and I went and saw Marley and Me.  It was so cute!

It was nice to spend time with you and meet Gary. Dang - that lunch/breakfast was da bomb!

Great run girly! Now behave so you are all guns a' blazing for Painters! Ice those nasty heels ;)

Sounds like fun! That is some good distance you got in there!!

I was wondering if "Marley and Me" would be any good. Glad to hear that it is worth seeing.

WAY TO GO running a half marathon plus. How many laps was that? Was the surface concrete? My feet and joints don't like concrete. GOOD JOB girl.

Wow... 13.5 miles of circles? I don't know if I could do it...but I suppose you were in good company!

We went to see Marley & Me last night. I loved it!

Thanks girls!

Smooth, it is a rubber surface over cement, I would imagine. I didn't realize how hard it was on my joints until I was done. I am still sore.

I am glad I got the miles in, I am feeling very unprepared for Painters, but I will run it anyway and have fun doing it!
