Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

you never seem to stop! Great job getting out and enjoying the beautiful weather while it lasts.

Hey, I have a favor to ask: My kids are off track this week and Wednesday looks like the nicest day, so I was wondering if you could take us all on a nice hike up in your corner of the world (or where ever). We have a nice slow pace and the kiddos can do a good 5-6 round trip if its not too steep. Let me know if you would be willing to host us on a hike, we'd love it!

Smooth, it was a beautiful morning, I hope you got out to enjoy it too!

Rachel, that sounds so fun, but my first appt. is at 10:00am and I work until about 3:00. I could meet you at Corner Canyon at 3:30, would that too late? If it works for you, I will put it in my daytimer. What a fun idea!!! Let me know.

3:30 would be great! I don't know where Corner Canyon is...you'll have to give me directions (I think it is the one in Draper?). I could also venture up to BCC or LCC as well. We don't get up there around the 'big' trees as much and we'd love it there too! 3:30 isn't bad at all.

Rachel, great lets do the Little Cottonwood trail, bigger trees, nice stream, much more interesting than Corner Canyon. If you can get yourself to the mouth of LCC, turn right instead of going up the canyon and then make a sharp left into the parking lot, it is called the Temple Quarry Trail. I will meet you there at 3:30!! The first mile is boring, but after that it is nice.

Sounds GREAT! I've actually been to that parking lot for pics before, so I know where I'm going :) I'll see you there at 3:30!!! AND I won't leave your number at home this time :)

I will look forward to seeing you there! It will be fun!!!

Glad you enjoyed your hike! Thanks for the treats yesterday. I inhaled the worst of them so I could start my healthy eating today.

Good girl Maurine! I should have brought you over something decent. If you can you ought to come and do the LCC trail with us Wed. at 3:30

Wish I could, but Wednesday nights I work at the temple.
