Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

This was my 15th ST. George Marathon! ( 21st marathon)

This year I have run half marathons instead of full marathons.  I did do a 30k in the spring, but other than that, I have not run longer than 13 miles, not real smart. I did well the first 13 miles and really struggled the last 13. I was happy to find out I was just 2 min. slower than last year. I was fine with my time, but I didn't feel as good as I usually do after a marathon.

This year Harold took his bike and biked up to meet me and ride down, it was fun to have him there and he got some great pictures.

Great weekend, we stayed with Shawn and Les and they came to see me run at mile 23. We had dinner together Friday night and enjoyed visiting all weekend.

I was happy to see so many friends and family this weekend, we ran into Toni and Monica at the expo, I saw Margret,Steve Leatherwood and Karen Booth up at the start.  While I was running I ran into Rene, a cute gal I met several years ago while running St. George.

I almost bagged the 10 Year Banquet because I felt like crap, but Shawnie gave me some cheese and nuts and a coke and I started to perk up. We made it to the banquet and had a great time. We saw Keiko and Margret and John Bozung.

St George is wonderful no matter what happens!  I will be better prepared next year!

Congrats on another marathon finish and on #15. Awesome! I'm not quite sure I agree with you though about SGM being wonderful. I'll get back to you on that one. :)
