Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Was out the door at 7:00, there were snow flurries, but at least I had day light.  I finally picked up the pace a bit.

5 miles  1:00  AP 12:09   splits  11:22 / 12:03 / 12:31 / 12:33 / 12:18

It's my youngest birthday today, Janalisa, she is 23.  I am going to color her and Julie's hair today and take them to lunch.  Fun times!

Maurine and I have been thinking and talking and stewing about our 50 miler, we think we don't want to spend the money or time to go out of state, so we are now considering doing the OV50 miler on Oct. 24, ask us next week and you may get a different answer, but I am thinking this makes alot more sense, other than you have to go up and over Trappers Loop twice!  It is up in the Huntsville area, it is one of the most beautiful places in Utah I think, well, you know, that is where the Ogden Marathon is, anyway, we can go up during the summer and run parts of the course.  That is our most recent thoughts on the upcoming 50.

Note to Maurine: I just pretended you were in front of me this morning telling me to catch up to you and it worked!  :)

Glad I was able to nag you remotely! I guess I was your 'virtual partner' today. :-)

Good job on the run. I still need to get out today.

GOOD JOB Leslie, nice run. Lunch with your daughters sound FUN. Where are you going? I really miss my one and only daughter who lives in Texas and her three adorable children.

I think the Ogden folks do a great job with the OV50. I have heard good things about it. I know a couple who ran SGM and the OV50 last year. One of these days I might do that. You and Maurine are doing awesome, such wonderful running buddies.

Nice running this morning Les!!

Although I must admit that I think you are totally bonkers for running those 50 milers!! :)
