Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

This morning Kim and I hiked the Porter Fork trail in Millcreek with Odee. We thought it would be low enough to avoid snow but ran into it just after 2 miles, we fought through it for a while and then said to heck with it.  We got a lot of catching up done and had a fun time. A nice cross training day. Now I am headed to the pool to do laps. I had my first private swim lesson last night. I am going to do the Jordanelle triathlon in Aug. and will have to swim a mile, it is completely out of my comfort zone, so I need to spend lots of time in the pool getting ready for this. I am hoping this will fun, I keep telling my self  "this will be fun, this will be fun... I am actually pretty dang nervous about the whole thing.

Les - I'm sure you could 'show up' some mornings when I am opening the pool and we can swim together. We would just have to talk quietly.....

Hello! How fun to hike. I tried to pull a hike out of Kim today, but she said NO and dragged me back onto the road. I don't know why I was feeling so adventuresome, probably just trying to avoid running :) Have fun swimming! I LOVE swimming. The water is my favorite place to be. Me being a runner is very much a "fish out of water" thing ;)

OK, so I just noticed that I ran up Payson Canyon with Marion this morning and I was hiking the Porter Fork trail with you and Odee yesterday. I must be having a multiple personality thing going because I don't remember a thing about either one! ha ha! So who the heck is this other Kim in your lives? Is it the same one for both of you? And is this other Kim also a blogger? These and more questions answered...next time...on "As Leslie Runs".

Kim, don't you remember the hike??? Kim is my hiking buddy that is not a runner. I love the "As Leslie Runs" That was good!
