Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

My plan was to do a long run from my house to the Farmer's Market downtown, but it started raining buckets and there was lightening and thunder, I called Harold and had him pick me up.  Hopefully it will be dry this evening and I get in a few more miles.  The thought of PC next weekend sends chills up my spine.   Gary said he would pace me, but that will be a  painful test of his patience, I have not put in my homework.  I will have about 5 weeks after PC  to train for St. George, heaven help me!!!

PM  - 2 mile hike with Harold

PC can be a training run for St. George. How much longer is your basic training? It would be good if you could let up a little next week so you are rested well before the run next Saturday. You are so amazing!

Gary my dear, you are the only reason I am doing the full marathon, I have been tempted to drop to the half, but if you are game to kick my sorry butt I am going to do it. Harold asked if you would stay with me the whole 26 miles, and I said I would never expect you to, but if you can hang with me for a few miles and get me started I will be grateful, kind of like Ogden. I would not have made it without you. Hopefully Maurine will start early and be with us, but we have not made any definate plans as of yet.

We were hoping you could spend the night Friday and you and I could drive up and Ernie and Harold can come up and see us come in and ride the bikes around a bit. I'll make pasta. Let us know if that will work.
