Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Bootcamp has been super hard this week, is it the instructors kicking it up a knotch, or that my body is really just lagging from the marathon, not really sure, I had no stiffness or soreness after the race, but maybe my body is still in recovery mode. Anyway, another butt kicking session, on acouple of the crazy exersizes they have you do, they had to take all the weights off me so I could use proper form, I was the only one who had to do them all sissyfied.  Oh well, most of the people in the class are kids in there 20 and 30's, so it is not too bad that have to drop the weights for the Trail Running Granny, I guess.

Off to run with Julie!

Have a great day!

I'm not surprised you are struggling after a marathon. Do they know that you just ran one last weekend?

Great job, Les!

Have a great day yourself!

Maurine, Smooth and Marion, it has been a super tough week. I just got up from a nap and had 3 pieces of zuchini bread with butter and glasss of milk. Oh, baby, I feel much better!!! My nutrition has been really good for two weeks, and felt like I needed alittle break. I have lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks, and for me that is HUGE! Okay, I am ready to focus again!!!

Rub it in. My boss took me to Lone Star Taqueria for lunch and I feel like I am about to explode.

Oh baby baby! Did you get fish tacos and ice tea? It is one of my favorite places to dine!

From Maurine/Tarzan on Thu, Aug 27, 2009 at 17:14:44 from 63.255.172.2

Tried fish taco for the first time. I've never had iced tea in my life. The chips and salsa and beans and rice pushed me over my limit.

(shrugs) it was okay - but I didn't die and go to heaven eating it. (Now I feel guilty).

Marion - I leave next Thursday thru Tuesday for a trip to Washington. After that I am in town until St. George (unless work sends me back to Michigan in September).
