Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

4 easy miles on the treadmill this morning, I am getting sick of winter...49 days until Spring.... so I have not been outside much.

I am really looking forward to Saturdays run!  Maurine and I are meeting at the Albertsons on 12300 S. and 1300 E.  at 7:45 am  if anyone would like to join us!  Maurine is bringing Paradise Cookies ( Maurine, don't forget to put in a sugar cookie for me!) Everyone is welcome, you can run at your own pace and put in how ever many miles you want, just come  and run and have a cookie!! If you are planning on going let Maurine or I know so we can at least wait for you and run you to the trail head which is just  .3 miles from the parking lot. Hope to see you there!

I'll be there. Look for my tour guide hat.

Do you need me to bring milk? :-) J/K

Yahoo Maurine! So tour guide, how many miles?

You are so nice, but I will wash down my cookies with my Carbo Rocket.

From tarzan on Fri, Jan 30, 2009 at 13:34:58

However many YOU want. If I feel the urge to do more - I think I could handle them on my own.

From leslie on Fri, Jan 30, 2009 at 13:38:12

Well, I at least want to go to the end of the trail, so did I understand you right and that would be a total of 11 miles? I was thinking of 15, but you know me, I probably wouldn't want to back track if I did the whole out and back to the car....especially if there are cookies in the car.

From Smooth on Fri, Jan 30, 2009 at 14:41:53

Can I still have a cookie? I'm gonna miss you SO SO SO SO much on the run tomorrow. May be the thought of the party later will keep me going??!!

From tarzan on Fri, Jan 30, 2009 at 14:46:17

Of course you can have a cookie!

If you give a Smooth a cookie.....

then she will want to run more....

From leslie on Fri, Jan 30, 2009 at 14:48:07

I will try and save you one, or at least eat one in your honor!! :) We will miss you too! I would have a hard time doing 20 miles solo, but you seem to be able to whip the miles out without any problem. We will see you Sat. night!!! Harold is not coming, Maurine and I are having a girls night out with you and all your husbands!!!

From Marion on Fri, Jan 30, 2009 at 15:57:56

Nice miles! I will miss you tomorrow morning! BUT.... we are going to have a great time tomorrow night :) See you soon!

From Kelli on Fri, Jan 30, 2009 at 22:41:19

Great run, you have been a good worker outer this week! Have fun on the trail tomorrow. I think we should try to hit the trail in Lehi next Saturday (unless it snows before then). What do you think?

See ya!

From tarzan on Fri, Jan 30, 2009 at 22:57:21

You should come down to Provo and do a 5K or 10K that weekend. I know Marion and I are doing one.
