Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Woo hoo!  15 miles at the Oval.  Finished the Girl with the Pearl Earring and then listened to IZ and dreamed of running in Hawaii!

WOW! That is amazing - your training is going GREAT! You'll be ready for another 50 miler in no time!!

How did you like the book? I'm looking for suggestions for my book club.

From leslie peterson on Wed, Feb 10, 2010 at 16:10:27 from 174.52.158.81

Rach, the book was okay, have you read The Help? I liked that alot better, it would be more interesting for a book club.

I am happy for 15!!!! I was thinking about you today at the Oval and was thinking I wish you were there to help me with some speed work, I really don't know the first thing about it. I see all these people sprinting and it looks very intimidating.

15??? I hope you switched directions often!

How did the chili go?

From Smooth on Wed, Feb 10, 2010 at 19:37:50 from 174.23.239.148

YaHoo for 15! No Olympian skaters today? WAY to multi-task. I really need to start using iPod! GREAT JOB on your 15 miler!

From leslie peterson on Wed, Feb 10, 2010 at 19:48:15 from 174.52.158.81

Kelli, I forgot to tell you, the soup was great! Thanks for the recipe! It was a hit.

Everyone goes the same way on the oval, I didn't think it would matter because it is flat, no lip on the side, am I wrong?

Smooth, Lots of Olympic skaters, I was surprised I thought they would all be in Vancouver by now.

From Kelli on Wed, Feb 10, 2010 at 21:16:50 from 71.219.89.82

And it is fairly good for you, right???? Glad it was a HIT. I still need to make some, it is on the menu for next week. Tomorrow I am making a turkey. i must be DUMB. Who does that when it is not Thanksgiving?!?

So, my birthday is coming up here and I think it is really time to finally do that lunch. I still have not been to the Cheesecake factory and i really want to go!!!

From leslie peterson on Wed, Feb 10, 2010 at 21:31:16 from 174.52.158.81

I am up for a Cheesecake Factory lunch when ever you busy girls can get there! Now when is your birthday? Mine is March 19th. I am really hoping to get to my first goal by then. I went to lunch today with some gals and had a boring green salad and a vegetable soup that I am sure was out of can, so I didn't eat the soup, the salad was dull. Tonight I am eating salmon and barley, I have been so good for 5 days and have only lost one pound. I am just happy though that I am doing well, I figure the scale will reward me very soon.

Let's make a lunch date!

From Kelli on Wed, Feb 10, 2010 at 21:44:10 from 71.219.89.82

The scale WILL reward you, sometimes it is delayed. In fact, I think it is always delayed!!!!

You should go to Applebees, they have this new salad that is TO DIE FOR!!! I actually crave it daily. It is the paradise chicken salad. NUMMY (and 6 points).

Maybe we should wait to do the lunch AFTER your birthday, when we have BOTH met our goals???

From leslie peterson on Wed, Feb 10, 2010 at 21:50:50 from 174.52.158.81

I will check out the Applebees salad!!

Yes, I am patiently waiting for the scale to drop, it has too!

As far as Cheesecake Factory goes, I am ready any time, now or later.

Are you about to your goal, you had a great week last week.

From Kelli on Wed, Feb 10, 2010 at 21:52:38 from 71.219.89.82

Well, as always, I spiked over the weekend (i suck at weekends). But if you compare day to day from last week, I weighed today what I weighed last Friday, so I am ahead of the game. Thursday is the official weigh in day, but just 8 ounces off. I will be happy when i can weigh 135 on a MONDAY!!!

Nice miles Leslie. One of these days I would like to join you guys at the Oval.

From leslie peterson on Thu, Feb 11, 2010 at 11:00:24 from 174.52.158.81

Kelli, I am a chubby, older version of you! We think alike!

Scott, I would love to see you run circles around me at the Oval. We are there every Wed. Next week we will be there for 3 1/2 hours!

From Kelli on Thu, Feb 11, 2010 at 14:27:43 from 71.219.89.82

Well, you are adorable!!!
