Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Woke up  feeling much better today, I decided to take Odee over to the PR trail, Harold was going to go skiing, but decided to bike with me.  We did nice easy run, it was overcast, but no rain, the temp. actually was perfect.  I did a little bit of speed work, getting my pace down into the 8's and 9's for short little spurts, but for the most part it was a nice leisurely run. Alot of runners were out today, I think everyone is thinking spring and getting ready for the running season, it was a fun atmosphere.  I was glad to get out of my 2 day funk!  Happy Days!!!  I am dieing to hear how my little Marion and Maurine did today and get the details on the Lehi running group.  I thought of you all today, but was glad I made the decsion to take an easy day today, it was perfect!!

What a PERFECT day! Running alone can be sheer heaven! I am starting to really enjoy that time to myself. Now don't get me wrong, I love to run with friends and it can't be beat, but there is much to be said for doing your own thing. Nice quick paces. Way to go!

I agree Marion, it is AWESOME to run with friends, but on some days it is AWESOME to run alone, today just had to be a no pressure day, and it served me well. YOU are a ROCK STAR!!!! SO SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!

Hey, I am so happy you had a NICE run with Harold. AWESOME JOB kicking in some 8's and 9's. Those runs where you go by feel with a positive attitudes are the BEST kind, aren't they? Keep up the good work. Your training is moving forward nicely. Many HAPPY running and GREAT race year ahead!!! O, thanks for thinking of us. I just love the friendships we share. Y'all such a blessing to me!!!

I'm glad you and your little family all got to run together and I'm glad you are out of your funk! Let's plan our dinner and signup for one night this week - maybe Wednesday and we can measure before dinner.
