Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Today is usually my Oval day, but Julie is doing a presentation today about her Stroke Recovery Center she is trying to get going and so I am going to the Oval tomorrow.  I did a little run around the park with the dog and then up to Bywater Park, I am feeling like I need a some motivation.  Do any of you know of a half marathon in Feb?  I am dragging.

I couldn't find any local 1/2 marathons for you but this link will allow you to sign up for the winter racing circuit. It comprises five races. Looks like lots of fun.

Happy running!

I think you will get your motivation back when the weather gets nicer and you can get up some peaks. I am having the same issues. Nice to see that you have been getting out on the snowshoes.

I'm not doing the winter series....I just found it when I was looking for a Feb 1/2 marathon. I have my racing schedule already set for the season. Don't think I can afford any more races, financially or physically! Maybe next year. Good luck!

It's so hard to get excited during the winter. Nice run!
