Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

This morning Lisa picked a route. We parked at the The Store on 6200 S. and did a loop, it was a flat course and we ran it at an average pace of 11:03 minutes per mile.  My knees felt good. We keep improving our time with every run. Running with a group is helping me with my speed, and it is so much more fun!

Man great job on the speed. I am not quite up to doing 11 min miles consitently yet. But I can run in the 11's for 3-4 miles pretty decently.

Great job on your running!

Boy, I'm not going to be able to keep up with you soon. We'll have to do all uphill courses so I stand a chance.

Thanks girls! These younger gals are pushing me and I LOVE it! I am thinking we will be able to do the TOU in 4:59 or maybe less!!!

4:59, that's my goal and I want it really bad. It's my big motivator right now for six days a week. What time do you run on Friday? I am so there this week.

Lauri, my running girls are doing the Heart of Holladay Sat., so I think we are doing our long run as a group Wed. I would love to meet you Friday and do a 8 to 10 miler. I have a great route I that weaves thru the Dimple Dell area. We usually start running around 5:30. Would that work for you? That would be fun.

Yes it is me! Melting and all! I think I melt as I run, we joke that it is our fat screaming as we squeeze out the last few miles of our long run! I am so glad you like this blog! It's pretty darn cool!

OK- YOU ROCK! You are a running MACHINE! I want to be you!
