Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

I knew we were jumping the gun a bit but I was so excited to get on the Wasatch Crest trail that I made Gary come with me to check it out.  Gaurdmans Way is still closed, but that didn't stop us, we parked the car and hiked to the trail head.  There was still some snow on the road.  Puke Hill had lots of snow too, about 3 ft. sometimes more, the Crest was spotty, snow, then dry, but after awhile it was just too much snow and we turned around.  More hiking than running this morning, but it was beautiful out and we had a great time.  Gary ran ahead of me at the end and got in another mile.

Glad you had a good run with Gary. Enjoy the beach house!

Sounds like a beautiful hike/run. You sure know the canyon trails. I've lived in Utah for 33 years and never learn the names or locations of the State's beautiful trails.

Snow sounds nice! Wow, you must have been way up there!!! At least it was fun and had good scenery and you were together, right?

Girls, we need to do a hike/trail run this summer!! We were almost at 10,000 ft. Lot's of snow up there, I know better, but couldn't resist!

Nice run/hike!! I'm so impressed 10,000 ft?!? I love to hike, but I'm too uncoordinated to do trail running :)
