Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Had a nice walk with Ardath this morning, I was planning on doing some running and just couldn't get myself motivated. I probably jogged a quarter of a mile, I felt alittle "something" in the knees, not really pain, just kind of funny, guess I am still recovering from the race.

Leslie ~ I love how you gave a talk in RS yesterday about your 50 miler. YOU DO HAVE WONDERFUL CHILDREN & son-in-law!!! What a great thing for them to witness their mother accomplish her life-long dream. I'm excited for your Red Mountain. Wish it wasn't so close to Boston.

I hear ya on the recovery thing. I find that walking after a race does wonder. That and swimming is probably the best activities for recovery. Hope you have a GREAT week! I hope to see you at the soup-cake-b'day party on Fri.

Walking is good, especially still coming off your 50!! No injuries lady!

Hey, is the 'puppy' run at Wheeler farm this month? I need to sign up.

Are you going to do CHRC 5K turkey trot? I'm going to sign up next pay check!

Smooth, yeah, I will probably be in the recovery mode for a few more weeks! I wish I could make the party but we have a conflict. It sounds like alot of fun.

Rachel, I have not signed up for Wheeler, I will today, 2 years ago, you could sign up race morning.

I will not be offically doing the Turkey Trot, I have in the past, but last year we just started walking 10 minutes before the race started and followed the route. I will look for you!

So, it's the animal therapy 5K run in Wheeler Farm? This Saturday? I'm excited! I have nothing going on, it will be a nice day and the family can join me and we can tour the farm afterward!! I'm going to register today (to save the $5!)

You'll have to PM me your phone number so I can find you that morning. I will be watching for you on the turkey trot course. I always go clear across town for that one simply for the t-shirt!

That will be fun to see you at Wheeler Farm, I will PM you my number! Your kids will a blast!

You are funny to come clear across town, but I am glad!

I've been looking forward to a fun run with Lucy! She will probably have the best time of us all!! Sometimes we have to spoil her :) And the kids will love it - I need a reason to take them out and have a good time while the weather is still nice!

What is the name of the run? I might sign up for fun.

It's the animal therapy 5k run at Wheeler, they are doing day of registration, I actually only signed up Jana, Julie and Paul, we are not sure if Paul will be up for it or not. He hasn't done 3 miles since the stroke, I thought I would just tag along, or use his bib if he isn't up for it, just not sure how it will all unfold. It would be fun to have you there!!!!
