Personal: I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!) I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren. I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it! I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey. Favorite Blogs: |

| | I had an early work out with the ladies, doing hill intervals and some upper body weights, then hiked with Kim to Stewart Falls and Cascade Springs, the water fall was spectacular, the run off was crazy! Then we went to my brothers house for a home tour in Midway and lunch in PC and topped it off with a little shopping, it was like a "staycation"! | Comments(3) |

Bryce Canyon Half Marathon (13.1 Miles) 02:24:00, Place in age division: 16 | | Friday afternoon, Harold, Gary, Ernie and I headed down to Bryce. We picked up our race packets in Cannonville and then set up tents at the Bryce Canyon camp ground. We tried to eat out at a nice place, but the town was packed and ended up eating at Subway. Sat. morning we got up early and Gary and I walked to the start line, it was fun not to have to take a bus and wait in the cold for an hour before running. This year there were over 1,300 runners. I plugged in my classical music and took off, Gary and I leap frogged most of the race, I saw Smooth, that was a treat, said hello and gave her a hug and sent her on her way. I love this race, so beautiful, and a small town feel, I PRed on this course 3 years ago at 2:18, this year I did it 6 min. slower. After the race we went to Torrey and mom and dad treated us like royalty, dinner out, 2 hikes, lunch out, Farkle in the evening and time kicking back and enjoying each others company. Lovely weekend!

| | I feel like I am completely recovered, so where did my mojo go??? I did my workout class this morning and a whimpy 2.5 walk, couldn't even bust out a jog. Tomorrow I will do a long hike and be done with my laziness. | Add Comment |
| | Hiked with Kim from Upper Big Water to the ridge, saw quite a few runners out training for the Wasatch 100. Had a wonderful conversation with Kim as always, I hope her smarts rub off on me. We topped it off with our tradition of Lone Star fish tacos. Perfect day. | Add Comment |
| | 8 miles from Cottonwood Heights along Wasatch Blvd to Draper with Andrea, Pete, Angela, Misty and Heather, yep, me and the 30somethings! Beautiful morning, done before 8:00am and then off to hike to Stewart Falls with Harold, Julie, Paul and Odee! Could a Saturday be any better? :) | Comments(1) |

| | Harold, Devante, Tracey and I drove down to Torrey to help Julie and Paul with a family reunion and hike. We took 10 kids ages 4 thru 15 on a 6 mile hike thru Sulfer Creek in Capital Reef. I posted pictures on FB, it takes forever to figure out how to download them the blog. WAY FUN! | Add Comment |
