Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Woke up to 3 inches of snow and it is still coming down hard. I ended up doing 3 treadmill miles with the speed between 5.0 - 6.00

Off to work, have a great day!

WOW- 3 inches and 3 miles! It's a sign :) I woke up to a trace of snow and a trace of wellness with Will. I think he is on the mend. Slow but better for sure ;)

From leslie on Mon, Mar 23, 2009 at 11:42:32 from 76.23.61.78

Glad Will is feeling better, there is nothing worse than a sick child.

The snow is still coming down, I am thinking of pulling out the Christmas music.

oh, I forgot to mention, the Biggest Loser Contest I am in is over, due to lack of interest. I ended up with 5 pounds off. I am hoping to get off one more measley pound before Sat. for Antelope Island, it will do my head good, not much else I am sure, and then I want to get off 4 more pounds before Ogden which would put me at one pound away from my first goal. Baby Steps. By the UV marathon I should be at my first goal and then who knows, it will be a struggle to stay there, maybe I will just try and hang on to that goal thru the running season, that would be a miracle.

From Marion on Mon, Mar 23, 2009 at 12:53:55 from 71.213.123.102

That's where i am Leslie. I just changed my goals. I am going for a much smaller loss and going to see how that goes. I plan on maintaining there for a while to see what I think. I really like where I am. It makes it hard to change :(

From leslie on Mon, Mar 23, 2009 at 12:57:21 from 76.23.61.78

yes girl, baby steps, 10 pounds is too big of a number at this point. By UV marathon we will be skinny and cute in our new running outfits!!

I am getting so tired of emails wanting to know if I want to enhance my manhood!!

From Marion on Mon, Mar 23, 2009 at 13:00:22 from 71.213.123.102

That's what I need, more facial hair!!!

From Smooth on Mon, Mar 23, 2009 at 13:11:33 from 71.36.65.79

Here's a message to remind you of your beautiful WOMANHOOD...no need for any enhancement!!! You're so there already!!! Baby steps is HUGE, is GOOD, is PERMANENT. I need some girlie outfits too. I think I look like a boy in my running cap and ---- chest.

From Marion on Mon, Mar 23, 2009 at 13:22:55 from 71.213.123.102

OK- so for our RHPC 1/2 we are going to need a super cool shirt.

Smooth- you are too beautiful to be mixed up with a little boy!

From Kelli on Mon, Mar 23, 2009 at 15:12:50 from 71.219.76.202

A PINK shirt, of course. My neighbor can put something cute on it for us.

Great run this morning. The snow needs to go away. I actually really love winter, but running in this has gotten old. I just want some 50-60 degree weather and some sun!

AND you are all beautiful just the way you are. We need to go t a self-help camp to help us all realize just how perfect we are. Let's pick a camp in, I dunno, Hawaii????

From Marion on Mon, Mar 23, 2009 at 15:24:34 from 71.213.123.102

I'll see if I can get a pink technical shirt for a good price. I like the FRB one I bought at the St George running center. It's white, I wonder if they'd take dye??? I'll call Steve at St George running center. We are going down there for spring break. We are staying at the condo again. It's another one this time. Lisa gave me the number for the people who rent many of the condos there.

From lesllie on Mon, Mar 23, 2009 at 15:38:16 from 76.23.61.78

July 11th sounds great to me, pink shirts, Yoo hoo!!!

Spring break in St. George sounds wonderful!

WE are doing Torrey for Easter, that will be fun. I am craving the red rocks and warm sun!

Don't order cap sleeves - they rub my arms raw!

From Smooth on Mon, Mar 23, 2009 at 18:57:55 from 71.36.65.79

Hey, July 11th sounds good to me, for now any way. I don't have any race planned for July, may be the DNews 10K. Hot pink tank would be so cool to go with black running skirt...I've got to enhance my girlhood. ;-p

From Marion on Mon, Mar 23, 2009 at 21:45:12 from 71.213.123.102

i just got a running skirt from running skirts.com that is black with a hot pink stripe :) They have a bunch on clearance. Oh we will be SO cute strolling into Ihop all sweaty and pink!!!

From Kelli on Mon, Mar 23, 2009 at 21:56:36 from 71.219.76.202

They have a black and pink one at Target, too. Maybe I should go get one!

From Smooth on Mon, Mar 23, 2009 at 22:15:08 from 71.36.65.79

I have a brand new TRIKS one, black with hot pink stripes on the side. I've been saving it all winter. WooHoo!!!

From Marion on Mon, Mar 23, 2009 at 22:21:58 from 71.213.123.102

We are going to look AMAZING!!! If y'all find any pink shirts let me know :)

From Kelli on Tue, Mar 24, 2009 at 14:33:05 from 71.219.76.202

Champion has some hot pink tech shirts (online and at Sports Authority and probably even at Target.)

From leslie on Tue, Mar 24, 2009 at 14:49:42 from 76.23.61.78

I can do a pink tank top, but I will have to be odd man out on the skirts, I have the legs of an 80 year old woman, I will make sure to color coordinate though :)!!

From Kelli on Tue, Mar 24, 2009 at 15:00:48 from 71.219.76.202

Do you still have snow? Ours is melted, but the weather seems to be turning again. I better go take off my capris before I head out to shop.

From Marion on Tue, Mar 24, 2009 at 15:04:17 from 71.213.123.102

I'll check out Champion. :)

From leslie on Tue, Mar 24, 2009 at 15:19:16 from 76.23.61.78

Yes, a good 5 inches still, the roads are clear though. I just had a bowl of chili for lunch and my stomach is saying " you better not run" I am being such a slug.

From Kelli on Tue, Mar 24, 2009 at 18:05:11 from 71.219.76.202

NO ONE can or should run after eating chili! That would NOT BE PRETTY!

The weather is getting cold here AGAIN. Like REALLY cold.

Hey, I wanted to tell you that I have tried something new that I love. I do not weigh myself. You would not believe how happy I am. I am eating right and following WW, just not weighing! I snuck in one weigh in at the gym before Moab just becasue i like to see if the weight affects my running, but that is it in a month!!! You can not believe how happy I am every day when i get up and get dressed. I look at myself and think, "You look pretty good" and then I move on. Before, I would weigh myself and think, "You are fat!" I will still weigh in once a month at WW, but we are NOT replacing that battery in the scale. I am done being a slave to the scale. DONE!

From Marion on Tue, Mar 24, 2009 at 18:10:59 from 71.219.59.196

Good for you Kelli! You are too smart and SO cool!! Man, I wonder if I can get that brave 8)

From Kelli on Tue, Mar 24, 2009 at 18:22:04 from 71.219.76.202

I will come and break your scale if you want me to! It really does make life so much more pleasant. I am sure I have not lost weight, but now I do not care!

From leslie on Tue, Mar 24, 2009 at 19:29:00 from 76.23.61.78

It makes total sense, but I am so afraid I will wake up one morning and be 10 pounds up. You are right, I am going to gear up for it soon. Smart girl Kelli girl!

From leslie on Tue, Mar 24, 2009 at 19:31:17 from 76.23.61.78

Maybe I will have you break it for me! I am off to fix some quinoa for Maurine to try with her speghetti sauce, I will make noodles too, cause Harold doesn't like adventureous healthy wierd stuff. I do!!!

From tarzan on Tue, Mar 24, 2009 at 21:22:14 from 97.117.61.64

Dinner was delicious and Harold even tried the healthy stuff.
