Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Went to the Brighton High track again to do speed work, I do it like a hill billy, I am not at all technical in my training. I warmed up and then pushed it for 1 mile, I had to stop my garmin several times to catch my breath. My 1 mile push was at a 9:15 mm pace, that is slower than my last time by almost 30 seconds.

I did one hour of lower body and ab strengthening at the gym.

With all my slow trail running, I will be ridiculously slow at the RHPC half.  Please save me a cookie!!!   Oh, and is there a booby prize????  It will be a fun time!!

I am a dork, Kim came by to go hiking, and I forgot to write it in my day planner, we ended up walking Odee one mile on  the trails up by Bywater Park and the cemetary.

I am excited to see you on Saturday---it has been a while!!!

Even our running group just kind of does whatever on speed work. You are doing it, that is all that matters!

Have a good day!

AWESOME speed work and strength training. Hey Leslie, no worries! We're gonna have FUN this Sat. It's been forever since I've seen you. Can hardly wait. Wendy is not coming. They are not up to 13 miles yet. This is also their step back week. Is Karen coming?

Hi Smooth, I left a message for Karen, and haven't heard back.

I wish Wendy would run, I am going to go super slow! It is all good, I am happy to be the pokey pants!
