Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

This morning, my trail run got cancelled, so I went out on my own and ran into Lisa and Jen, they were just finishing up so I walked with them for a few minutes and then ran on my own. Slow and easy. Maurine and Laurie, and anyone else interested in running the Wasatch Crest trail on Sat., we decided to meet at 6:00am at Einsteins on Wasatch Blvd. We will put Krashman's (sorry, is his real name Chris?) bike on our car and we can all drive up to Gaurdmans together. When we get done and are at the Upper Millcreek Parking lot, Harold and Krashman can ride down the canyon to Einsteins, then Krashman can go up and get Laurie n his car, unless Laurie wants to run another 10 miles or so down the canyon road, which Maurine and I may or may not do depending on knees and heels. I will decide then if I want Harold to ride the car up the canyon and pick Maurine and I up. Did I make any sense at all?? Laurie, call me if you have questions 943-1571. Otherwise see you at 6:00am!! I can't wait!!!!

Oh, I went to WW this morning, and was down 1.4, so I am now 4.2 pounds from my goal!  I hope to reach goal before my tri on Aug. 23!!!!  These last few pounds are killer!

WOW- super fun! How's Paul?

You can post in the forums under announcements about your weekly run, I think?

have SO much fun. I will be at league finals for swimming. Yipee!!

thanks for asking, Paul is doing alittle better, he walked on his own with someone holding onto a belt just in case he fell, he kicked around a soccer ball a bit, he also said "Hey Buddy!" to a friend when he came to visit!!!! That was huge, he speech is going to be a big challange.

Marion, I don't know anything about the forums...not sure what you are asking...sorry.

Glad to hear about Paul :D

The discussion forums are at the top of this page, fifth link from the right. Other FBR runners might see it and join you.. if you want.

I WANT TO GO!!! :D

From Laurie on Thu, Jul 31, 2008 at 12:06:33

I may want to start running down the canyon. I want 15+ miles for the day. And Chris is his name. He likes krash because he does that a lot!!!

Marion, come ride your bike if you want to come up:)

I am going to want to finish quickly but not burn out because I am going to want to go home and start reading breaking dawn. I will be at the book party until after midnight so I will be tired but I can't wait for the run!

I hadn't thought about a bike ride- but none for me this week. I am strictly "no go" this week- plus swim league finals :D Yeah me!!!
