Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

THANK YOU MAURINE!!!!!!!!!!  This is my first run in 8 days, it felt so good to be back running. The parkways was buzzing with people, SLC Running Store had a group run and so did Team in Training, so there were lots of runners, and water stops almost every mile or two.  We had fun visiting with a few runners at the water stops.  Maurine had to run circles around me, I SO appreciate her  letting me run with her.  I had a wonderful time, my chest is stilll congested, but my legs and feet felt rested.  I started having just a tad of pain in my right knee a 10 1/2 miles, so was glad to stop at 12.   I think I am as excited about Maurines 50 miler as she is.  Only two more weeks!!!!   As of now it looks like I will pace her the last 17 miles.  How fun!!!!

YEAH! I have heard those runs are fun. I JUST figured out while reading your post that the 50k and Riverton Half are on the same day! DANG IT!

Just so you know, the congestion stays for a long time, so get used to it! I was wheezing a little bit today still!

You are welcome! It was fun to run with you. Off to take a bath - then see if it is worth dealing with the insurance mess on Kevin's car.

Poop! Yeah, we were hoping you would all come out to the island and pace, oh, well, we need to get together soon. The parkway was a blast today!!!

Thanks again Maurine, I hope Kevin's car problems get solved okay.

Meh - as soon as I heard both races were the same day I figured you would be my only running buddy.

The race is early, I think I cold still pace later in the day. What time does the 50k start and how long is it expected to take?

AND I WANT TO TRY TO HELP OUT! I do!!!!!

Kelli girl, you are too nice, I think after pushing it on a half marathon, you will be spent. The good thing about me pacing at the end is Maurine will be pooped out and I will actually be able to be able to really help her along. I know you want to help, hey, if you want to come along for the fun, it would be so cool to have you there, but no guilt please!!!!

You guys are going to have SO much fun! Great run Leslie. I am glad you are healing up. Just take it easy for the next few weeks. Running is really cool and helps with healing, but too much does not ;)
