Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Okay, I am  re-writting this, I just wrote  about my morning run on the Sunday slot, I did that last week too.  So here I go again, different words same run, and in the right spot.

I ran with Lisa and Jen on their 5k route, it was hilly and hard work, I usually am not even a wake until I have run 3 miles, but we did it and now I am feeling great and ready for the day, I am going to do some yard work and then swim laps when the pool opens at noon.

I hope you all have a great week!

I just did 36 lengths in the pool, I am not sure how many meters that is. It took me 27 minutes. It was nice and easy, I didn't push hard, I need to find out how many lengths is 1500meters. I am thinking around 60 lengths. I think I will be the last person out of the water on this tri, but what the heck it will be my first one of this length and I have to start somewhere!

Cool! I told you you were "off" last week ;) Sounds like such an nice run. Have fun at the pool. I gotta hit the Yoga mat!

Good job on the swimming, sounds like fun. And I wouldn't worry about being slow on the swimming, it's so hard to be really fast and most people aren't. The biking and the running is where is really matters and I think you guys have that part down!

That's good to know, do you and your hubby do tri's? I am actually enjoying swimming, as long as I am not really pushing myself.

We have done one sprint. But talking with people the swimming is usually more of a "lets just get it done" and not the competitive part, it's so short in comparison to the rest.
