Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Lower body work out at bootcamp.  I have one more week of bootcamp and am really looking forward to a break. It is so intense.  I will go back to the CHRC and do muscle-up and yoga for a while.

16 days until St. George!

Good luck on St. George. I heard you signed up for the Pony Express 50. I just signed up too and I think Twinkies might do it also. It should be a lot of fun.

Oh yay!!!! So have you done a 50 miler before? This will be my first attempt. I actually tried doing a 24 hour run in Moab, but it was so hot, I dropped out at 42, so I am going to try again. I am glad you and hopefully Twinkie are doing it as well. It will be a fun time!!

You seriously are amazing!

I have been thinking about one of your old posts. You had talked about how much bootcamp helped you and how you were not even sore after PCM (I think it was PCM). I think I need bootcamp. Seriously!

You are tough!!! :)

Teena, bootcamp has been great, but I am ready for a break, I have to take a nap almost every day. I am hoping thru this experience I have developed some discipline so I can do alot of it at my gym. I learned alot.

16 days? CRUD. We need to plan a party, though, I have not seen you in FOREVER.

That is cool that you are registered for the PE 50. I hope to be in good enough shape one day to do that. I also want to do St. George this year, but it will have to wait. How was Aussie Floyd?

You are a stellar bootcamp graduate! YaHOO! You're so ready for SGM! WOW! a 50 miler coming up? When's that? You are amazing! I am so proud of you! Hey, my friend, Jerry Pugh (57) ran the Wasatch 100 in 35 hours. I think about you doing that one day. Can't wait to see you in 16 days!
