Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

I was going to sleep in this morning and not go to bootcamp since I have the marathon sat., but at 4:15 I was wide awake, I went to bootcamp and did a modified version of what everyone else was doing, mostly walking on the treadmill, it felt good to take it easy.

Now I am heading off to do 3 miles with Julie.

I pick up my packet at Wasatch Running today, and get my blocks and gu, I am getting excited about Park City, my only goal is to cross the finish line.  It is a beautiful course, it will be a great day.

Good luck on your race on Saturday. I feel the same way you do about my first marathon in September...my goal is just to finish. I'm sure you will do great, you are a workout machine :-)

Lots of good mileage, lady. Very impressive. If I don't see you tonight at Wasatch Running, I'll see you tomorrow for dinner.

Thanks Scott, it will be fun! I am going to start with Maurine and Gary, two of my running buddies, it will be a good time, we will take it easy and enjoy every minute!

Maurine, I hope to see you at Wasatch, I am picking Julie up and we are going to try and be there right at 5. I think my garmin is busted. I need to get another one or a watch of some sort. It has been tempermental and now it seems dead. Glad you are coming for dinner, I still haven't heard from Gary, but we are on anyway. Gotta carbo load, and may as well do it with friends!!!!

GOOD JOB at bootcamp bright and early! Impressive miles this week.

I'm going to Wasatch Running this evening after hubby gets off work. I need to pick up some power gel too. I might try some new shoes while there. We're heading to the cabin tomorrow and do some shopping at the Outlet. Then back to Riverton for football game before hitting the sack at the cabin. I'm so excited to see you on Sat. Will Karen start with you and Maurine and Gary? I hope to see her, haven't seen her since college days.

It's gonna be a fun run taking it easy!

I am looking forward to a fun easy day too!!! I have not talked to Karen, she was thinking about starting early but never called, I will look for her. See you up there!!! I am going to Wasatch at 5 so I will probably miss you.
