Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

I did muscle up this morning, and that is going to be it for the day.  I am feeling real good about crosstraining 2 days a week and giving my feet a break. I will try and get a pool work out after muscle up, but today is too busy.

Oh, and it is healthier to work out indoors because we have filters my hubby said, our instucter this morning said the same thing. So everyone, get above the muck or stay indoors!  I am hoping to do another Park City run Sat., this treadmill running is  painful.

Yesterday I had PERFECT nutritition and it paid off, one pound down.  I am going for another day!!!

Good for you, Les! Have a great day.

I totally blew my nutrition last night and it doesn't bother me at all.

From Marion on Thu, Jan 22, 2009 at 10:18:58

Good job my dear! Way to go!!! :)

From leslie on Thu, Jan 22, 2009 at 10:21:12

That is because you are skinny already and work out like a mad woman. I want to look like you! Do you want to run in Park City Sat.? I don't know what Harold wants to do, but I would love to get a good long run in, maybe around the Swaner Reserve?

From tarzan on Thu, Jan 22, 2009 at 10:44:24

OK

GOOD JOB on the nutrition. I am so proud of you. I wish I could join you and Tarzan at Park City. Too much going on this Sat. I hope I can get my long run in. Have a great day and keep focus on good eating.

Just reporting in girls! Sorry to beat this to death, but it helps, I love having my own personal cheering squad. So far perfect nutrition today, oatmeal cereal, egg whites, w/wtoast apple, 2 Tbsp. peanut butter. I am getting hungry so I am getting a diet coke and taking some baby carrots with me while I go get errands run. Tonight is is Turkey burgers and veggies and mixed berries and yogurt for dessert!

Smooth, I hope you get in your long run, Park City will be wonderful!

Good girl! I was perfect until my husband, BLESS HIS HEART, met me with my car in Provo. I got in the car. Had some reduced fat wheat thins for a little snack on the way home. HE LEFT A 1/2 OF MY FAVORITE PIZZA IN THE FRONT SEAT!!!! i ate it :( I am going to have a yummy salad for dinner and beat him up when he gets home from work! My impulse was to toss it out the window- I should have done that. Now I am SO mad at him, but mostly myself!!! Why would you leave a pizza in the car??? We are going to have to have a "come to Jesus" tomorrow! He's TOAST!!! It's like leaving crack around an addict. STUPID!!!

Whimper, whimper, sniff, sniff.

From Teena on Thu, Jan 22, 2009 at 15:52:14

Nice work on the nutrition Leslie!! You're so cute! Good advice on this whole mucky mess.

Have a great day!

From Kelli on Thu, Jan 22, 2009 at 18:09:12

Stay out of the muck for sure! Great job on the pound down, too! You rule!

From leslie on Thu, Jan 22, 2009 at 18:10:28

Marion, you give it to that man tonight in no uncertain terms!!!

Teena, It is 4:00 and I have been solid as a rock, if I can keep this up for acouple of months I will be lean and mean for Ogden! People will see me wizz by and say, " Was that Leslie or Teena, they are both so skinny!!" Oh my gosh I am laughing, I think I am so darn funny....in my dreams!!!

From Kelli on Thu, Jan 22, 2009 at 18:24:45

Who does leave pizza in a car, for real??? He should have eaten it all. But, hey, at least you enjoyed it I HOPE!!!

Leslie, you are too cute!

From leslie on Thu, Jan 22, 2009 at 18:30:01

Kelli, I am in one of those "nothing can stop me" moods, they usually sizzle out in acouple of days, but if I can blog myself there and pester you guys with all my little victories I just might actually do it!! I bet you did not go to WW with sick kids. I think it is hard feeding little ones and not joining in. When I was a young mom I was a size 14 and not very active, I think you are amazing to stay so fit and active with all that is on your plate.

From Kelli on Thu, Jan 22, 2009 at 18:33:20

Literally, with all that is on my plate!! That is where the gym comes in, it is my sanity. I hate days like today when I have done nothing. I am in sweats and I feel like a big huge blob, but the day is almost over (I hope, cause I am tired).

You are doing great and can pester all you want. Your cheering squad is here!

From leslie on Thu, Jan 22, 2009 at 18:39:35

Take a tylenol PM and go to bed early and "the sunnnn el come up tooomarrow" that's all I know of the Annie song (thank goodness, huh?) Tomorrow will be a great day, but it will be a gym day, they say crappy air until Mon or Tue. I am going to run in Park City Sat. with Maurine, we would love to have you come along, you probably have basketballl games, but you are welcome to join us if you can.
