Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Got up at 5:30 this morning to go meet Maurine and Twilight for a walk at Wheeler Farm, had fun chatting until stupid Odee jumped in the swift river and start stalking a duck, he was fighting the current and being a turd, we hollered at him for about 15 minutes before he would get out. He is grounded from our run tomorrow.

Came home and ran around the park.

But the problem is - he still doesn't know he is in trouble!

Nice talking with you.

yes he does, he is outside freezing cold and wet and I am ignoring him. Dumb horse.

Good - because he was a total pain.

Poor Twilight - she was enjoying her walk and didn't like it getting cut short because of that strange humongous monster she met today.

Poor Odee. He can't fight the need. It is in his blood. Luz's dog Ginger does that. She just leaves her behind. I was freaking out because she was in the water with ice still over it, but sure enough, Ginger figured out how to get out. Those poor beasts just can't fight their instincts to swim, hunt, swim and be themselves.

I can see you two there. Maurine is right, he probably has no clue what he's busted for :)

Silly dog and stupid duck!!!

Have fun tomorrow and stay dry! We will think of you at the other end of the JRP.
