Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Finally!   We did a real live trail run. Ernie and Gary and I ran, and Harold mountain biked. We started at Mill B in Big Cottonwood and ran to Desolation Lake and back.  There was a bit of snow on parts of the trail, but not enough to discourage us.  Everything was great, except my adorable husband lost the car keys at the lake, good thing we had one of those magnetic boxes with a key inside on the car. Afterwards it was breakfast at Silver Fork!  DELISH!

Now THAT sounds like the perfect day! I am SO glad you had the key. Now breakfast is the best! Thanks for all of your encouragement! Your the best!

It was a perfect morning, and I even had an egg white omlette with veggies. Now off to see my son-in-law play rugby! Thank you for the encouragement! Your positive attitude is contagious!! And I might add, you are very entertaining!!! Keep on keeping on!!!

I would have made Harold go back and find the keys. :) (Maybe that's why I am no longer married).

Sounds delightful, actually. Especially the breakfast part.

Hey Maurine, I noticed you haven't made an entry on your blog for a few days! I need to know what my buddy is up to! Do you think you are recovered enough to do the Cottnowood trail after work one day next week?

I think Harold would have had a heart attack if I made him go back!

Oh, and Lisa, OF COURSE the breakfast was the best part!!!!!

Tuesday it is. Do you want to go a little earlier and do the full 6 miles (of course - I want to do the Cottonwood Trail instead of the Cottnowood Trail)? LOL.

I'll go pack my bag now so I have gear at work.
