Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

Ardath and I left the house at 8:00am, headed up to Millcreek. The temp was 28 when we got out of the car.  We had a beautiful fall hike.  Lots of leaves on the trail.  Odee was in heaven, we were too.

Ardie is doing the half marathon in Mesquite, it is killing me, I was on, and then off and now I want to be on again.  We shall see.......

Sounds like a heavenly hike! Don't you love all the leaves carpeting the trail? Better enjoy it while we still can. I'd do Mesquite if my grandbaby wasn't coming on that day. I think you'd have a great fun time.

It looks like a really nice race, and it will be warmer than 26 degrees!!

I love hiking in the fall, and this one hasn't been all that great for me. Good to see you back out. It sounds like a lot of fun.

Rachel, so are you doing Misquite? It really does sound like fun winter getaway!

Smooth, it was a great hike! When is your Hoover DAm race? I think a grandbaby sounds more fun than a marathon!

Kelli, Misquite's weather should be perfect, if I can convince Harold to take another running trip. I think you said your grandmother lives there, are you going?

Marion, I'm with you, cold stinks!

Scott, sorry you have missed out on the fall hiking this year, do you do much in the winter? I heard Costco has snowshoes, I thought I would check it out and try and get up in the mountains more this winter.
