Personal:

I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!)  I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it!  I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey.

3 little treadmill miles,  20 min. of weights and a one hour yoga class.

Todays weigh in for the contest was a big goose egg!

My focus is to have a perfect weekend, that's it, I need to do baby steps!!

After yesterday's awesome speed work; you deserve a nice 3 miler for recovery. GOOD JOB on the weights and yoga too. Glad you're staying focus for a perfect weekend. Baby steps are SURE and STEADY footings compare to one giant leap. It will lead you to SUCCESS.

Let's work together on getting back on track. I finished all my chocolate covered marshmallows today - so no more junk food.

A goose egg is better than a PLUS, right?

I broke my scale for real. I am done with it. I will have to weigh in at least monthly at WW, maybe weekly, but that is it for me. DONE. I give up.

Great mileage, 3 is nothing to laugh at! You worked your fanny off yesterday. And those 3 were on the treadmill so it is more like 9!!!

Thanks girls, starting today, I am going to try and have a perfect weekend. That will be huge for me. Yesterday I was bummed and ate 3 chocolate chip cookies and 3 handfuls of dried up Valentine Hearts that have been sitting on the kitchen counter for weeks getting hard and dried out.

From Smooth on Fri, Feb 06, 2009 at 15:23:30

Aloha Leslie, are you staying focus? Don't be a garbage disposal this weekend. Can't believe you swallowed those dried up Valentine hearts. C'mon girl, remember you are too precious and beautiful for junk!

Kelli, yes I guess zero is better than a PLUS!! I am afraid if I throw away the scale I would gain 20 pounds in a month. I am totally frustrated right now. So, Kelli, have you reached your goal and just need to check in once a month?

Smooth, I need a good swift kick in the pants. I have been better today, the stupid VDay candy is now gone and I WILL have a good weekend!!!!!
